Cynthia joined OMEZA Holdings, Inc. as Chief Executive Officer, May 2023. From February 2014 through November 2017, Ms. Flowers was President and Chief Executive Officer of Ipsen North America, where she led the transformation of the company as it became the highest-growth subsidiary worldwide. Prior to joining Ipsen, she served as President of Eisai Pharmaceuticals, where she oversaw commercial operations, medical affairs and services, manufacturing, alliance management and other functions. She has also held general management roles, both domestically and internationally, at Amgen Inc. and Johnson & Johnson. Ms. Flowers began her career as an oncology/critical care nurse.

Ms. Flowers currently serves on the board of Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC, a multigenerational generics company. She has held positions on numerous corporate and non-profit boards, including G1 Therapeutics Inc., a biotechnology clinical development company, Nanoform Finland OYi, a nanoparticle manufacturing company, Kadmon Group, Inc., a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company, the Women’s Leadership Advisory Board for the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the board of directors for the Sarah Cannon Oncology Research Institute. Ms. Flowers holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S.N. from the University of Delaware.

Suzanne Bakewell, Ph.D., is Chief Scientific Officer at Omeza, where she leads research and development, clinical development, regulatory affairs, and intellectual property rights for Omeza’s line of wound care products. She is an accomplished principal scientist and leader with expertise in early-stage drug and medical device development, cancer biology, and nanotechnology.
Prior to joining Omeza, Ms. Bakewell led early-stage drug development and designed translational studies for clinical trials in both industry and academia. Among her roles, she was Principal Consultant at Beeston Biotech Consulting, LLC, where she served as Advisor and Director for Preclinical Development and IND submissions; Science and Business Advisor for Early-Stage Drug Development; Consultant for Investigator-initiated Clinical Trials; Author and Editor for Grant Applications and Scientific Manuscripts; External Reviewer of Grants for UK-MRC; and Science Consultant for International Environmental and Public Health NGOs.

Prior to this role, Ms. Bakewell spent seven years at Intezyne Technologies, rising to Vice President of Preclinical Development, where she was instrumental in taking IND drugs from synthesis into phase I clinical trials. She also has considerable scientific experience, with her primary area of interest in large xenograft studies to evaluate the efficacy, toxicity, and pharmacokinetics of a nanoparticle cytotoxic drug delivery platform.

Ms. Bakewell conducted her postdoctoral fellowship in oncology and cancer biology at the University of Pennsylvania and earned her Ph.D. in physiology at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Her doctoral research at Washington University focused on cancer metastasis to bone and the tumor microenvironment. As a Susan G. Komen Fellow in the Dr. Lewis Chodosh lab at the University of Pennsylvania, Ms. Bakewell studied cancer cell dormancy and disease recurrence. Bakewell also has a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Health and volunteers as a writer for U.N. reports and grants to support NGOs in developing nations.

Kris Smeage serves as Chief Financial Officer of Omeza, bringing extensive experience in strategic finance and operational leadership across venture capital- and private equity-backed companies spanning Series Seed through Series B. Specialized in healthcare technology, Kris has advised and held financial leadership roles across more than eight healthcare technology and medical device companies navigating periods of growth, scale, and operational transformation.

Throughout his career, Kris has partnered closely with founders, executive teams, and investors to build scalable financial infrastructure, lead strategic planning and forecasting initiatives, support fundraising and investor relations, and align financial operations with long-term growth objectives. Beyond healthcare, his experience also spans enterprise SaaS, professional services, and mobile gaming.

Kris holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and has completed executive education programs through The Wharton School.

Richard Hague, Chairman of the Board, is a highly accomplished life science executive and corporate director with extensive experience in the development and commercialization of innovative cell-based therapies, drug-device combinations and medical devices.

Richard is currently a board member at Remedium Bio, an early-stage gene therapy company. He was most recently the CEO of PolarityTE, an autologous cell-based wound care company. Prior to that Richard held executive management roles with Anika Therapeutics, Sanofi, and Genzyme, and earlier in his career held sales leadership roles at Johnson and Johnson and Pfizer.

Richard’s broad experience includes raising capital in the public and private markets, licensing and M&A transactions, execution of late phase clinical trials, and multiple successful product launches. He brings to the board a combination of operational leadership, strategic insight, and deep expertise in wound care and regenerative therapies.

Richard is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Business.

Lee A. Fleisher, MD, ML (Masters in Law) is the Founding Principal and CEO at Rubrum Advising, LLC, a consulting firm dedicated to identifying strategic pathways, including regulatory counsel, to ensure the highest quality care is adopted and diffused across the healthcare sector. From July 2020-July 2023, he was the Chief Medical Officer and Director of the Center for Clinical Standards and Quality for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. In this capacity, he was responsible for executing all national clinical, quality, and safety standards for healthcare facilities and providers, as well as establishing coverage determinations for items and services that improve health outcomes for Medicare beneficiaries.

He serves as a Senior Advisor of the Bipartisan Policy Center and FasterCures of the Milken Institute, Senior Fellow of the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics and Visiting Fellow of the Duke-Margolis Center. He is a member of the Safety Committee of CHAI (Coalition of Health AI), consultant to the FDA Digital Health Advisory Committee and a member of the HITAC of the ONC.

From 2004 through July 2020, he was the Robert D. Dripps Professor and Chair of Anesthesiology and Critical Care and Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and is currently Emeritus Professor and continues to practice clinically.  In 2007, he was elected to membership of the National Academy of Medicine.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors of CoRegen, a cancer immune therapy company.

Dr. Fleisher has received numerous honors including being elected to membership of the National Academy of Medicine (formerly Institute of Medicine) of the National Academy of Sciences in 2007 and the Distinguished Alumni Award from SUNY in 2011. He also received the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016.  He is listed as a 2023 Modern Healthcare’s 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives.

Frank Martucci grew up in Trenton, NJ. Frank is a graduate of William Penn University in 1970. Frank went on to get a graduate degree in Philosophy at Fordham University.

Frank was a general partner and senior managing director and a member of the Board of Directors at Bear Stearns & Co, 1977-1991. In 1994-2001, he was President, Millcross High Yield Fund.

Frank’s former Board participation: William Penn University, Chairman of the Board Smithsonian Archives of American Art, Montclair Art Museum, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Francine and Sterling Clark Art Institute (presently serving on the Board); and Scenic Hudson.

Frank’s personal interests are philosophy, arts and farming.

Henry Gazay is the Founder and Managing Partner of BluKap, a venture capital firm investing in ocean biotechnology, regenerative medicine, and life science innovation.

Henry is an international healthcare executive, entrepreneur, and investor with nearly three decades of experience building and scaling life sciences organizations globally. He has extensive expertise in corporate strategy, commercialization, market access, reimbursement, mergers and acquisitions, and venture investing.

Prior to BluKap, Henry founded and led Medimix International, a global leader in real-world evidence and market access solutions serving the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. Following Medimix’s acquisition by PPD (now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific), he served as Senior Vice President, supporting strategic integration and corporate development initiatives.

Throughout his career, Henry has advised founders, institutional investors, and multinational healthcare companies on growth strategy, commercialization, financing, and international expansion. He is recognized as an advocate for ocean biotechnology and the development of marine-derived therapeutics, supporting innovative companies at the intersection of human health, sustainability, and regenerative medicine. He is an active member of the New-York Explorer’s Club and Board member of the Paris Brain Institute of America.

As a member of Omeza’s Board of Directors, Henry contributes expertise in corporate strategy, fundraising, commercialization, reimbursement, and global growth.

Edouard Cukierman serves as the Founder & Managing Partner of Catalyst Investments as well as the Chairman of Cukierman & Co. Investment House. Since its establishment in 1993, Cukierman & Co. Investment House has been engaged in more than $10.5 billion of corporate finance transactions.  With over 30 years of investment experience and entrepreneurial activities in financial services, Edouard is the Chairman and CEO of Catalyst Investors’ Club since its establishment in December 2022 and currently serves on the board of Curalife.

He also served on the boards of Tufin, Orex, Dori Media, Otorio, Omrix and many other Israeli High-Tech companies. Before establishing Catalyst, Edouard was the President and CEO of Astra Technological Investments, a Venture Capital Fund established in 1993, which was the first Israeli company to go public in Europe.

He is also the founder of the GoforIsrael annual conferences. Edouard is active in various non-profit organizations. As such, he was a board member of Sar-El, Gvahim, and Kol Israel Haverim (Alliance in Israel).  He is the co-author of the book: Israel Valley, originally published in French in 2014, and since has been translated into Chinese, Italian, and Portuguese. The English version is set to be published in 2025.

Edouard holds an M.B.A. from INSEAD, France, and a B.Sc. from the Technion University in Israel. He served in the Israel Defence Forces as a reserve officer in both the Spokesperson Unit and in the Negotiation Unit for hostage and crisis situations.

Eric Archambeau is the founder and managing partner of Astanor a global impact investment firm with $1B in assets under management, backing seed through growth stage companies at the intersection of healthspan, nature, and physical AI that advance human and planetary health.

Eric brings a combination of leadership, technical expertise, strategic vision, and global perspective drawn from over two decades as operator and investor in Silicon Valley as well as Europe and Asia where he has led and advised groundbreaking initiatives at the intersection of technology and business.

Kathy Chui is a co-founder and general managing partner of DeepWork Capital. She was previously a venture capitalist at Denver-based iSherpa Capital and a research analyst at Boston economics consulting firm Cornerstone Research. She had run angel network Florida Angel Nexus, launched voice-over-IP products at Level (3) Communications, led product management at Lefthand Networks, and worked in corporate strategy at Compaq Computers.

She had also held engineering roles at MIT Media Lab, Tektronix, and Superconducting Supercollider Lab. For over a decade, she had her own consulting firm that specialized in emerging verticals and had clients from startups to Fortune 500 companies looking for assistance in innovation outsourcing, business development, strategic alliances, fundraising, and advisory support.

Kathy is serving or has served on boards of several portfolio companies, including Artist Growth, Imperative, and HCW Biologics (Nasdaq: HCWB). She has also served as independent director of other organizations, such as Florida-headquartered retailer Bealls Inc.

She has a BS and a MS in Electrical Engineering from MIT, and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. She speaks fluent Taiwanese and Mandarin.
