Omeza Locates New Headquarters in Downtown Sarasota
Omeza recently moved from its startup location within PPi Technologies Group to downtown Sarasota at 25 South Osprey. The company leased the 2,000 SF building in its entirety, providing stylish new headquarters for its growing executive team.
A milestone for this young company, the move enables Omeza to comfortably accommodate visits from vendors and other partners, store product samples, and host board meetings on-site.
The property provides street-level visibility, unique signage opportunities and on-site parking, as well as flexible meeting space housed within its open floor plan. An abundance of natural light and the company’s trademark marine influenced color palette make the interior space coolly energetic.
Historic MCM Design Building Offers Visibility and Flair
Historically significant, the building was designed in 1957 by American Modernist Architect Victor Lundy. Using sharply angled exposed trusses in his design, he maximized window exposure to street traffic for commercial benefit.
Building Owner Steve Murry, an admirer of the Sarasota Modern architectural movement, renovated the building in 2013 for Murray Homes, which occupied the building until its move to US 41. Adhering to the Mid-Century Modern design principles of the Sarasota School of Architecture, he renovated and updated the property using high end finishes while maintaining the industrial feel.
States Omeza COO Sarah Kitlowski, “We are delighted to take over care of this iconic property in the heart of the city. They’ve left us with a delightful office and have done a tremendous amount to make the building perfect for our growing and energetic team.”
Omeza leased the property from 25 Osprey Avenue South LLC. Jag Grewal and Amy MacDougall, of Ian Black Real Estate, handled the transaction.
